Then you expand the frame more until the roof is taught. After that you lift the legs and they lock in place in one of a few heights. I set it up easily with the help of three 7-yr-olds. I could have done it myself, but it would have been harder as I would have had to move back and forth between the corners. I had to maneuver the frame a bit to make the legs go directly vertically, then it was very stable. I did not use any additional supports (guy lines or sandbags) because there was no weather. The inside is silver, which worked extremely well for having a bright space once it was dark. One small LED lantern lit up the interior well (see picture).\n\nThe sides are optional, something I was unclear on from the listing. You can have just the legs/roof or you can have one or more walls. It was slightly difficult to determine where to start with the walls, as they wrap all the way around. It was also confusing exactly where to attach the walls and ties. A bit more instruction on this would be nice, but we figured it out. We left the fourth wall unconnected and had no problems. The windows worked fine - slightly blurry as you'd imagine from foldable plastic, but let lots of light in and let us see out pretty clearly. The walls blocked a lot of wind, it was very warm inside, even in chilly weather.\n\nI only have two complaints -\n1. There were some holes in the tent. It looked like they were sewn crookedly, pulled out, and resewn. I found 3-4 places like this on the roof. I'll include one picture. Those will leak if I'm using this in the rain. I will probably get some tent tape and tape over them. I didn't try this in the rain yet so I'm not sure if the other seams will leak. Presumably if they had sprayed a waterproofing seal over the seams, it would have sealed the holes so I don't think they did. Will update when I've had a chance to use this in the rain.\n2. The bag is odd. The tent fit tightly inside the bag when it arrived. It opens on one end, kind of like a pringles can, and you pull everything out. So far so good. The problem is that try as we might, we could not get everything back into the bag. My husband and I huffed and puffed and finally gave up. The support structure and roof fit fine, the side walls had to be stored separately. We have been looking for a pop up tent with sides for rainy or cold days. This tent is just what we were looking for. The tent is easy to assemble- took 20 minutes even with attaching the sides. The sides attach with velcro loop strips to the frame. Having the sides really cuts down on the cold wind and rain. The only negative we have found is we couldn’t get the sides to go back into the storage bag. We decided instead of struggling, we would just store it in a separate bag and that has worked well. It DOES have some quirks, but overall, it is quite strong and made from good materials. Plus, there are a lot of ways it can be configured given the height adjustments and zippered wall sections.\n\nOne note: I did not immediately find the height adjustment for mine, so the photos you see are at the lowest position. It does go higher than what I show.\n\nThings I like:\n\nGood, heavy fabric material. Steel frame was easy for one person to both unfold AND fold back up. The Velcro on the corners of the frame and inside the canopy top make it easy to get the canopy \"set\" initially. The windows are AWESOME! And they're on both side. The material was heavy enough that even in a 50F outdoor temp, it immediately felt warmer inside the canopy than out. The entire canopy and walls go completely inside the roll-around bag that is included. And you can take down any one wall you want - they are all zippered so it is easy to configure in multiple setups. And the zippers are good, heavy duty ones. Toggles are included to hold the \"door\" side open (not simple string tie backs); this makes opening the doors fast and secure. Comes with sand bags for corner post weights.\n\nWhat I don't like:\n\nGetting all the Velcro wrapped in JUST the right place for the walls was a bit of a pain. You almost need to leave it a bit loose at first so you can get everything set, but then go back and reset it all. But I imagine that's just kind of what it's going to be like with any canopy. Folding everything back up the right way is important - otherwise it would be difficult to get everything into the bag. I am used to stuff-sack type tents where one literally \"stuffs the tent into the sack.\" Not so with this - be sure and fold it carefully. If you do you will get it all in. The stakes and guy lines are a bit on the not-so-great side; some larger plastic stakes and good paracord (neither are expensive) will be better IF you really need to guy it out in windy conditions.\n\nOverall, it's a REALLY nice canopy tent. I did get another one at the same time as we needed two, and the other one was very clearly made of lesser materials and had a lower quality set up. I really like that includes the four walls with the added bonus of the windows. It goes up very easily, I was able to put this up in about 20 minutes by myself for the first time. I would imagine, now that i know how it goes up and together, it will take less time in the future.\nIt seems to be pretty sturdy, though if any wind comes up, you will definitely need to anchor it down. It comes with some small stakes and four sandbags to help with the anchoring.\nThe inside is roomy and will be a great place to keep the food from pesky flies and the direct sunlight during the family BBQ's. Also will be great for holidays on out back patio for extra space. I have not yet gotten to test this in the rain, but will update once i use it when its raining or wet.\nTakedown of the canopy is also super easy and takes even less time.\nMy only complaint about this is the storage bag. The bag only has a small zipper at the bottom, which is fine for getting the frame & with a little struggle the canopy into, but is impossible to get all the walls in as well. Our last canopy bag had a zipper the length of the bag which allowed you the ability to manipulate all the pieces in. I was lucky enough to find a Replacement Mosquito netting for a 10X10 Gazebo for review and combined these into one. I used one of the blue sides to cover up the area that traffic can see. The mosquito netting was a nice add on as using the 4 walls for me was not an option as it would make the Hot tube area really hot.. This winter though all 4 sides will be up hoping that it keeps the cold out for the 2 days we get cold in Florida (that’s a local joke about the cold not showing up for long in Florida, But I can remember a few times where I wore shorts at Christmas :). This is a very easy tent to assemble I would recommend once you get the frame expanded then drape over the top bring it over all corners and then finish expanding it but JUST before you extend it fully and lock it in place make sure the corners are locked on their Velcro then stand in the middle and push up after that extend the legs to the height that you need. It has 2 positions for height and the button is probably the easiest one I have used. This one locks in the center of the tent not from the legs like a lot of other tents do. And a simple twist will do the rest for you. The main sides are 2 solid blue pieces (like in the photos in the listing) and 2 split ones with Window style accents. We did find out that the mosquito netting and probably the blue sides do the same, we still have mosquitos entering in and thats due to where we put the light . I'm not sure why it took so long for someone to figure that out. This canopy is easiest enough for one person to set up, with 2 people it's a breeze. It includes the sandbags, you just need to fill with sand. You do need to follow the set-up instructions, we didn't at first and then had to backtrack to make it easier on us. It comes in a really nice carrying case but trying to get all of the tarps back into the case afterward was a bit challenging. I was able to assemble the whole thing by myself, but if you had a second person to help you, it would definitely go faster. The canvas tarps for the roof and sides are nice and the frame is sturdy. Getting the tarps around the side was a bit easier said than done. It took a minute to figure out how to attach everything, but once I figured it out, it still took a bit of effort to get it up. Again, having a second person to help would have made everything go a lot easier. Overall, I really like the tent. It gives me the option to keep it open air with just the roof or to attach all of the sides so I can decide what I need for the weather.
